Saint Meat

saint meat

Saint Meat was first established in North Haven in 1995 as “Saints Meat Store” by Shannon Anderson who was only 19 years old at the time. Shannon commenced his apprenticeship working under the guidance of his Father in the family business at Tender Meat at West Lakes at a mere 13 years of age and progressed his experience at Argentine Meat Store at Semaphore to become a qualified Butcher at only 16. Shannon has lived on the Le Fevre Peninsula all his life and is proud of the many connections with local Sporting and Community groups he has gained over that time.

Saint Meat is a regular sponsor of these Community Clubs in the form of Meat Trays for fundraising as well as providing Meat vouchers and financial assistance.

This first Saint Meat store traded in Shop 3 in the North Haven Shopping Centre and after a number of successful years, in 2008 expanded to include a Fruit and Veg outlet in shop 2 when the trading name was changed to “Saint Meat and 3 Veg”. In January 2013, the business relocated to a more prominent location in the North Haven Shopping Centre and the name was changed to “Saint Meat”.

A brand new store fit-out enabled them to display a more extensive range of products making shopping easier and more enjoyable for our customers. The business has thrived since its relocation and we are very excited to have opened our Semaphore Road Store in November 2014, where Shannon is going back to his roots by taking over the same location as the Argentine Meat Store where he served his apprenticeship.
